1.  Each school is given 6 spots. We will select 3 boys and 3 girls for our High Peaks, All District Choir nominees.
​2.  Auditions will be held at High Peaks in the music room on December 3rd and 4th,  directly after school. 
3. Please read the All District Choir Letter (ADC) before you sign up for auditions (above).  This letter explains the process and will answer most of your questions regarding ADC.  Students must be ready to make the practice committment and concert date of May 1st, 2020 in order to audition.

Audition Process and Requirements
Auditions are very child friendly and will be adjudicated by Ms. Christmas.
There are 3 parts to the audition per the BVSD music teacher's reccommendation.
1. Prepared Song
The student should prepare a song that is appropriate for the student's grade level. The student should sing the vocal line as written with/without the accompaniment.  A recorded sound track is also welcome.
Examples of songs:  My Country Tis of the Thee, Are You Sleeping, or Row, Row, Row Your Boat.

2. Melodic Echo
The teacher plays on a pitched instrument or sings each of the following patterns and the student must echo the teacher accurately.

3.  Round Singing
The teacher plays or sings part of the round while the student sings against the teacher. The student should be able to hold their part on their own while singing against the teacher.
Examples of songs:  Row, Row, Row Your Boat or Frere Jacques.
